TMB is an outstanding company that has offered products and services to professionals in the entertainment production and architectural lighting industry since 1983. As the first one-stop supply network for touring professionals, TMB services a worldwide market from offices in Los Angeles, London, New York, Toronto and Beijing with "rush service normal" treatment.
We are currently seeking an experienced shipping clerk who has worked in this area for 2-5 years.
?Pull product and prepare items for shipping
?Check daily bins in the morning and evening for accuracy and/or problems
?Pull parts ordered and alert admin of parts needing to be ordered.
?Enter all shipments in Fed Ex/UPS computer and closing reports.
?Assist in the handling of will call orders
?Deal with freight company problems and salespeople.
?International Shipping
?Confirm orders (i.e.: cable reels have correct length, a part number written on the outside, etc.)
?Keep Warehouse clean and neat.
?Arrange pick-up with ground or air freight.
?Fill out bill of lading including invoice numbers. Forward to Accounting department.
?Call for freight quotes when necessary, or use software installed in shipping computer.
?Receive incoming product by updating database and organize product by warehouse location.
?Follow-up with customers on any old will calls waiting for pick-up.
?Develop and use Tariff codes for importing and exporting.
?Always get a better deal on shipping cost.
?File freight claims on lost shipments and resolve.
?Maintain Freight quote binder
?Knowledge of customs and duties for international shipping.
?Complete TMB packing dimensions/weight and provide description of packages, pallets, etc.
?Order boxes and all other shipping supplies.
?Complete shippers letter of instruction, supplied by shipping company. Provide details needed to ship product.
?Immediately notify Management whenever an order might not ship on the due date.
?Operate Forklift or Company vehicles when required.
?Resolve incoming and outgoing shipment exceptions including liasing with customs clearing agents.
?Ensure all necessary forms for customs are included for international shipments including EUR1, FCC etc.
?All other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Must have prior knowledge of FedEx, UPS, other Freight companies
Must be detail oriented and multi-tasking
Must be able to work well under pressure
Must be computer literate
Must have a good grasp of the English language and excellent writing skills
Willing to assist as needed in multiple areas of the Warehouse.
