As a mechanic, you will maintain diesel equipment by conducting PM and FHWA inspections on trucks and trailers. You will repair and correct vehicle deficiencies, make adjustments and alignments, execute general preventive maintenance and keep relevant records related to the condition of the equipment.
You will also be involved in verifying vehicle performance by conducting test drives and adjusting controls and systems. You must be able to properly diagnose and repair system components such as brakes, steering, suspension, electrical, engine transmissions and clutches.

Requirements
The ideal candidate must be dependable, able to work independently, and must be willing to go on service calls and repair vehicles on the road. Following are additional job requirements
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in heavy-duty truck, diesel and trailer repair and maintenance.
License: CDL Class A or B
Air Brake certified
CA State Inspection License
Must pass Background Check
Must have your own tools.
ASE Certification will help but not required
