More infoLarge, busy healthcare company in Torrance seeks an experienced, MAC graphic designer with mastery of tasteful type handling, excellent design problem solving, and some production knowledge. Strong Macintosh skills needed to develop clean-design style, projects based on established, corporate brand standards and existing architecture is mandatory. Requires the ability to develop diverse materials in multiple languages for primarily print projects that may be used electronically. Must have sharp attention to details/accuracy/spelling, be reliable, organized, and be capable of working independently. Looking for a hands-on self starter, that takes direction well, be easy going, and has a can-do team spirit.

Projects consist of simple flyers, more complicated 6/4 pocketed brochures with tables, newsletters, posters, signage, direct mail, and advertising. This position requires an excellent design eye to solve/organize visual problems and a solid education in basic design fundamentals. Must be very proficient in CS5.5 (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat) on a LION system. Must know Microsoft Word and Outlook. Powerpoint experience and creating online media such as banner ads a plus.

Requires minimum of 2+ years industry experience (advertising or in-house corporate agency, or design firm) with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Advertising Design, Commercial Art or comparable discipline. Healthcare or Pharmaceutical experience would be considered a big plus. Must work in our Torrance office Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesdays. Currently this is a part-time, contract position. Compensation ranges $20-$35 per hour, depending on experience and fit.
