JOB SUMMARY:
The Privacy Compliance Manager assists the Chief Compliance and Privacy Officer with activities for development, implementation, and adherence to the organization's privacy compliance program. Privacy Compliance Manager provides ongoing advice and resources to management for compliance issues and works with management to implement these improvements. Directs and assists with Compliance Office investigations and audits, including, as required, compiling reports to the Compliance Officer and management. Provides oversight of the Privacy Program. Develops, implements, updates and maintains the organization's privacy and security policies, procedures and guidelines in compliance with federal and state laws, and accreditation standards. Works in coordination with organization leadership and the compliance and privacy structure.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree in Health Information or related field and HIPAA/HITECH proficiency
5 years of experience
CHC certification or equivalent experience
HCCA Certification in Healthcare Privacy Compliance (CHPC) or the ability to obtain it within one year of employment
Proficient in use of Epic, Compliance and Privacy Reporting Sytems, MediTech and ChartMaxx
Demonstrates organization, facilitation, communication, and presentation skills
Experience in information systems and data risk management
High degree of personal and professional integrity
Knowledge of and the ability to apply the principles of HIM, project management, critical thinking, and change management; knowledge of health care industry

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
7 years of experience
Internal hospital or health care or legal investigative experience
