Primary Function:
Manage existing customer relationships and solicit new business within the Western U.S. Region. Develop and implement plans to achieve pricing, mix and profit goals for Wayne Farms LLC.
IT IS A REQUIREMENT FOR THIS REGIONAL SALES MANAGER TO LIVE IN THIS REGION.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
Major responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Development and implementation of strategic sales plans for the Western U.S. Region.
Actively solicit new business and expand customer base within assigned region.
Building and maintaining both operator & distributor customer relationships - will require travel throughout the region for customer visits, meetings, presentations and other sales activities.
Effectively manage the sales mix to provide Wayne Farms LLC with maximum profit margins.
Maintain an acceptable level of customer satisfaction among custom base.
Monitor and analyze sales growth or competitive opportunities within the region and keep management informed.
Identify potential new products and collaborate on development with R&D, using Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system.
Collaborate with Credit/Collections group in management of customer deductions.
Minimum Skill Levels and Work Experience:
3 - 5 years relevant experience in inside sales, customer service, sales support or outside sales role.
Experience in managing a broker/direct sales team to include trainings, sales plan objectives & executing company operating plan
Demonstrated skills in independent decision-making and presenting recommendations to Management.
Demonstrated strong analytical, decision-making skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to learn and apply sales techniques. Successful completion of relevant Professional Sales Training is preferred.
Knowledge of market strategies, budgets, pricing strategies and general economics.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related computer applications specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
Preferred Skill Levels and Work Experience:
Experience in poultry or meat sales, with knowledge of both fresh and further processing, strongly preferred.
