The California Naturopathic Doctors Association (CNDA -- calnd.org) is a non-profit organization devoted to:

1) Helping California Licensed Naturopathic Doctors across the state improve their business,
2) Advocating at the state legislative level to ensure NDs maintain their scope of practice,
3) Sponsoring high quality live conferences and live online webinars to help NDs get their required continuing education credits,
4) Educating the public through various public outreach programs about the benefits of Naturopathic Medicine and why treating the root cause of symptoms is an effective way of treating and reversing health conditions.

Our office has a staff of three people:
1) Operations Director
2) Membership Coordinator/Legislative Liaison
3) Continuing Education Coordinator/Admin

We also plan to hire an Event Coordinator/Fundraiser within a couple of months.

The CNDA Board of Directors and Executive Committee are made up of volunteer NDs who give direction to the CNDA staff.

We have a very nice office in the Fox Hills area of Culver City.

We are seeking someone to be our new Membership Coordinator/Legislative Liaison who can start as early as next week. This is a full time position (40 hours per week) and the pay is $20 per hour. Although most workdays are during the week, sometimes weekend and evening work is required. We would like to find someone who will stay with our association for at least the next 2 to 3 years, if not longer.

We're seeking someone who has good interpersonal skills and positive social affect, can multi-task, is a quick learner and self-starter, enjoys working as part of a team, can write very well, keeps track of assignments and tasks, has great phone skills and who knows how to use all the basic office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Email, etc.). As Membership Coordinator job duties include the tracking of our membership, the recruitment of new members, answering a wide variety of scope related questions and other membership questions from our doctor members, updating our website, writing documents, writing a monthly membership update, working closely with our membership committee, and performing a wide number of other office duties as well. As Legislative Liaison job duties include reading and understanding law (pertaining to the Naturopathic Medicine profession), writing documents and working closely with our legislative committee and our lobbyists in Sacramento. It is a diversified position that requires attention to detail and an ability to appropriately prioritize tasks. A Bachelor's degree and an interest in natural medicine is preferred.
