Under the administrative authority and technical guidance of a physician, the duties shall follow the guidelines established by the Board of Medical Quality Assurance's Physician's Assistant Examining Committee of the State of California and shall include, but are not limited to participation in medical examinations and diagnostic procedures and assessments, the diagnosis and treatment of pediatric plastic surgery patients.

Responsibilities include obtaining histories, performing physical examinations, communicating treatment plans, surgical assistance in the operating room, obtaining and evaluating required laboratory tests and assisting in the comprehensive care of assigned patients. These duties will be performed under the medical supervision of the Plastic Surgery Division attending physicians.

Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree, graduation from an accredited PA program, recent pediatric experience.

Skills: Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred.

License, Registration or Certification required: California Licensure and certification by the NCCPA.
