Orthodontic Dental Assistant position available

We are an established single doctor private practice (not a clinic) with three locations in the South Bay (San Pedro, Torrance and Rolling Hills Estates). POSITION DESCRIPTION:
-chairside orthodontic assistant
-approximately 24-32 hours/week
-regular office hours: M-Th 7:45-5:00 (one Sat 7:45-1:00 every other month
during the school year only)

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
-RDA or DA with a minimum of 1 year of orthodontic assisting experience
-high school diploma or equivalent
-current X-ray license
-current CPR certification

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
-proficient at performing general orthodontic chairside assisting functions
-overall knowledge and ability to perform all sterilization functions
-ability to accurately take and pour up alginate impressions
-excellent communication skills to be able to provide patient instructions
-basic computer skills
-must have reliable transportation to each of our three office locations
-ability to multi-task
-conscientious, committed, dependable, team player, willing to learn new skills
