Description
• Responsible for effectively managing all incoming office calls and inquiries.
• Provides education and company resources to prospective and existing clients/patients by phone, email and in-home evaluations.
• Identifies customer's home care needs and expectations and develops a service plan to meet those needs.
• Responsible for new client cases being filled by qualified personnel in a timely manner.
• Maintains employee, client and referral source relationships in an ongoing effort to drive higher levels of employee and customer satisfaction.
• Manages payroll, billing and collection functions on a weekly basis. Additional administrative or clerical tasks may be directed by owner.
• Oversees all phases of the employee selection process to include: posting, screening, interviewing, reference/background checks, and hiring.
• Verifies applicable licenses, certifications, education and credentials of all Care Professionals.
• Creates files for all new employees and clients, verifies insurance when applicable, and prepares all documents for client services.
• Schedules and conducts routine new hire Orientations communicating company values, programs, policies/procedures, and overall job expectations.
• Responsible for scheduling care professionals for all home care and/or staffing assignments.
• Supervises ongoing recruitment of home care staff, while ensuring continued education and training sessions are made available to motivate staff.
• Assists owner with conducting Care Professional performance evaluations as needed.
• Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local government laws and regulations, as well as policies and procedures of Interim HealthCare.
• Supervises collection and distribution of all office mail.
• May have access to personal health information ("PHI") necessary to fulfill the above duties and responsibilities. Access to use and ability to disclose PHI is further defined in the policies and procedures manual.
• Responsible for taking action when issues and problems are identified under the supervision of the owner.
Requirements
• Bachelor Degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
• One (1) year of office management/administrative experience.
• One (1) year of supervisory experience that includes staff supervision, recruiting and hiring.
• Home care or healthcare experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
• Customer service experience.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively analyze and problem solve.
• Demonstrated ability to develop, retain and manage an effective team.
• Demonstrated multi-tasking ability and effective organizational skills to meet short deadlines with finite resources.
• Meets the requirements of federal and or state criminal and abuse background checks where applicable.
Working Conditions & Physical Effort:
• Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
• Ability to work flexible schedule and/or evening hours as needed.
• Able to engage in local and occasional out-of- town travel.
• Valid Driver's License and Insurance
• Physical activity is light requiring occasional lifting/carrying up to 20 lbs. or pushing/pulling small objects. Frequently walking or standing or sitting most of the time.
