General Manager Who Knows Fine Dining (Glendale)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- A strong understanding of financials. Must be able to generate and review financial reports, including budgets, projections, forecasting, revenue analysis, disbursement, labor and product costs, wage and salary control and P&L financial statements.
- Monitor ordering and inventory levels.
- Handle guest complaints with professional and sincere attention and enhance their experience.
- Hire and train staff to the standards required, including proper service, customer service and wine knowledge.
- Perform all staff evaluations consistent with guidelines set forth in the Employee Handbook and make recommendations for staff promotions and wage increases accordingly.
- Provide progressive, corrective counseling with staff, including terminations and reviews.
- Monitor staffing levels, labor and purchasing costs to maximize efficiency and control labor expense ratios.
- Coordinate and communicate with other departments.
- Assist in reviewing and and amending contracts; authorize terms.
- Oversee scheduling and labor allocation.
- Direct and assists managers in preparing and attaining future goals.
- Provides each assistant manager with the proper direction and follows up on all assignments.
- Gives the management team clear direction and provides the necessary assistance for them to perform their work.
- Conduct inventory and cash control procedures
- Perform all other duties as directed to improve any area of the restaurant and guest experience.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 3-5 years as a General Manager in a full service fine dining environment.
- Strong knowledge of P&L concepts and applying knowledge to make improvements.
- Strong wine knowledge.
- Ability to adapt and work proactively in a changing environment, handle stress well and function successfully in a high-volume environment.
- Ability to find ways to improve sales/manage costs
- Gracious, outgoing and hospitable personality
- Operate within budgeted parameters without sacrificing guest experience, quality of product or staff relations.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Experience with MS office applications such Excel and Word, POS, OpenTable is a MUST.
