Change Order Engineer for Architectural Specialty Contractor (Canoga Park)

Final contract closeout documentation, Punch List completion, Negotiation of existing change orders
We are involved in approx 20 projects on going at any one time

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Minimum 5 years experience in construction, engineering or related industry
• Must be detail oriented, accurate and dependable
• Excellent ability to analyze and problem solve
• High proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word) and Windows
• Experience with Manufacturing / construction software (e.g., JobBoss, Constructware, Submittal exchange) a Plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must be able to multi-task and prioritize effectively
• College experience preferred

Responsibilities to include, but not limited to;
- Review change order requests
- Generate change order requests / assemble with complete back up
- Review of returned submittials for scope / costs impacts against base scope of work
- Follow up w/ customers/ contractors for final change order executions
- Track all outstanding change orders for on going projects
- Interface with Accounting Department to ensure finalized change orders billed monthly
- Generate Change order Reports Bi-Weekly and review directly to V.P.
- Perform change order negotiations
- Finalization of projects including
- Final change order reconciliation
- Punch list completions
- Project closeout documentation
- Maintain efficient files and records
- Perform other office duties as directed by Project Manager
