The Look Store.com is seeking a part time or full time WEB DEVELOPER/ MAGENTO EXPERT for thelookstore.com to oversee, maintain and support existing applications, create/maintain web modules for its websites and intranet applications.
Job Description
Web Applications development:
Creation of user information solutions by developing, implementing, and maintaining Internet/intranet applications.
Defining site objectives by analyzing user requirements; envisioning system features and functionality.
Design and development of user interfaces to Internet/intranet applications by setting expectations and features priorities throughout development life cycle; determining design methodologies and tool sets; completing programming using languages and software products; designing and conducting tests.
Building new and enhancing existing website modules for both Customer facing and Administrative websites
Maintaining and enhancing web application for Google feeds
Maintaining intranet applications and creation of new ones per business requirements
Recommending system solutions by comparing advantages and disadvantages of custom development and purchase alternatives.
Responsible for applications Integration by designing database architecture and server scripting; studying and establishing connectivity with network systems, search engines, and information servers.
Completes applications development by coordinating requirements, schedules, and activities; contributing to team meetings; troubleshooting development and production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms.
Supports users by developing documentation and assistance tools.
Updates job knowledge by researching new internet/intranet technologies and software products; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Skills/Qualifications:
Hands on experience with Magento and ecommerce
Hands on experience with MYSQL Server 2005 (T-SQL, stored procedures, triggers, linked servers)
MS Office
Thorough knowledge of MS Access programming
Experience writing Visual Basic for Applications
.NET Website development experience
VB.NET, JavaScript/ JQuery, HTML and SQL Programming Skills
Delphi programming desirable
E-Commerce experience desirable
Experience with Order Management System is a plus
SEO Experience desirable
Ability to Handle Pressure in a fast paced environment
Strong organizational skills
Excellent customer service skills and service orientation
Ability to communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences in written and non-written formats
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions
Detail oriented
