We are a fun crew looking for Web-Based Journalism Interns who are interested in researching, writing and submitting written stories for Smile TV. You will also be writing our newsletter, blogs and hosting scripts. You should not only be educated and trained in multiple areas of writing but have a clear sense of communication and collaboration and be able to take photographs to accompany most stories. You will be expected to research and write about a wide range of topics, including but not limited to animals, humanitarian causes, environment, kids, family, entertainment, sports, politics and more. Taking pictures and/or finding appropriate internet pictures will also be necessary. This job's hours are fairly flexible but will have monthly deadlines.

Responsibilities: Research and Writing of: Newsletter, Blogs, Smile Stories, Hosting Scripts and News Articles.

Qualifications:

- Excellent writing/research/grammar skills.
- Experience and knowledge writing stories, articles, blogs, social media, scripts, internet-related content, and web copy.
- Keen eye for details, must be well organized with an ability to prioritize and proactively offer solutions.
- Basic knowledge of managing web content is a plus!
- Knowledge of MailChimp is preferred, but we can train you if necessary.
- Current or working toward Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in English, Creative Writing, Journalism, or related field in Communicatons.
- Able to work Part Time from HOME.
-You MUST have fluent English verbal/writing/communication skills.
- Willingness to take ownership of their stories and work through obstacles to get the job done.
- Positive attitude, enthusiasm and a sense of humor

This is currently an unpaid internship but has potential to become a paid future position. You will receive hands-on experience for your resume and school credit if so desired.
