We are looking for a Part-Time Bookkeeper who will provide accounting and administrative support to the CFO. Primary responsibilities encompass typical accounting and bookkeeping functions in addition to administrative duties, with a special emphasis on generation of Purchase Orders and Job Cost Tracking and Reporting. This position will be 10-20 hours per week depending on what is going on in the office.

Specific responsibilities include:

? Preparation of Purchase Orders. Purchase Orders are generated for all job-specific expenditures.
? Accounts Payable Processing. All invoices are entered into the accounting system and subsequently processed for payment. Communicate with vendors regarding invoice payment issues.
? Check Processing. Printing and distribution of all payment checks that are issued.
? Monthly reconciliation of bank and credit card statements.
? Bank Deposits. Responsible for taking deposits to the bank.
? Management Report Preparation. Prepare weekly Job Cost Summary reports covering purchase order activity and actual expenses incurred on each active job.
? Payroll Processing. Assist in entering payroll information into the accounting system.
? General Administration. Assistance in administrative duties as assigned by the CFO.
? Year-End Payroll Tax Form Preparation. Prepare and distribute 1099 Misc. forms to independent contractors hired during the calendar year.
? Insurance Audit Analysis. Analyze annual Group Insurance Policy audit calculations.
? Year-End Supporting Schedules for Tax Return Support. Prepare supporting schedules for the annual income tax returns as requested by the company's accountants.
? All other duties as required.

Qualifications and skills:
? Minimum of a 2-year AA degree in accounting is required.
? At least 3 -- 4 years of experience as a full-service accountant or bookkeeper.
? Ability to perform all basic accounting and bookkeeping tasks with minimal supervision. This includes accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, purchase order preparation, Excel worksheet preparation, bank statement reconciliations, credit card reconciliations and Quickbooks report generation (including design of custom reports for management purposes).
? Good aptitude for all types of accounting and administrative tasks and functions.
? Must be proficient in Quickbooks Pro accounting software, as well as Microsoft Excel and Word programs.

Personal characteristics:
? Must be able to logically organize and schedule all tasks and duties, and be able to organize data and design reports as required by each new and unique situation.
? Position is mostly unsupervised and requires a self-motivated and disciplined individual.
? Good communication skills and ability to interact professionally with all business contacts (internal and external).
? Detail-oriented.
