Freelance Writer for Online Marketing (Los Angeles Area)

We have several local businesses within our coverage areas around California, Nevada and other states that need to have online content written for them for marketing purposes. This content will be placed on a variety of websites to promote our local companies.

The writing involves a lot of very short pieces that are part of a larger package. These pieces can range from 60 words to 600 words. They are often short descriptions describing the company and its services in our target market and geographic region.

Other pieces can include articles that discuss topics related to the company, our services, or themes related to the industry, which may range from 800-3,000 words in length.

This is a freelance position; therefore you would be your own operation and work strictly offsite from our office (at-home or otherwise). You would communicate with a representative from our company via email and telephone to be issued assignments as they become available.

Requirements of this role:
- Clear, pleasant and professional writing "voice"
- Articulation in verbiage
- Fast typing ability
- Understanding of writing for marketing and keyword usage in writing (we can provide some information for this, as well)
- English as your primary language
- Must be located within the United States

Amount of work available: This depends on the amount of work you can and want to produce. We can provide 5 content packages or more to write in a week (assuming you want this much). Each package contains pieces that add up to roughly 8,000 words. So we can provide 40,000 words or more worth of work in a given week. You must be able to produce quality written work that is coherent and follows the guidelines for online marketing writing with keyword usage.

Pay rate: $0.02 per word (2 cents per word). Once you have established yourself with us, showing that you can produce quality, well-written works that incorporate proper keyword usage and have completed 250,000 words worth of work, we will raise your rate to $0.025 per word (2.5 cents per word). Further showing of quality dedication could result in a full-time position or further per word raises.
