The Precision Werks division of National Retail Transportation has positions available in Rancho Dominguez, CA for experienced DIESEL Mechanic.
As a mechanic, you will maintain diesel equipment by conducting PM and FHWA inspections on trucks and trailers. You will repair and correct vehicle deficiencies, make adjustments and alignments, execute general preventive maintenance and keep relevant records related to the condition of the equipment.
You will also be involved in verifying vehicle performance by conducting test drives and adjusting controls and systems. You must be able to properly diagnose and repair system components such as brakes, steering, suspension, electrical, engine transmissions and clutches.

Requirements
The ideal candidate must be dependable, able to work independently, and must be willing to go on service calls and repair vehicles on the road. Following are additional job requirements
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in heavy-duty truck, diesel repair and maintenance.
Must pass Background Check
Must have your own tools.
ASE Certification will help but not required.
We are developing and prototyping Vehicles and Vehicle Structures in Commercial applications.
Qualified Applicants must possess the following.
? Must be able to lift over 70lbs
? Must be able to work in teams as well as alone on projects
? Must be able to work above 20' and operate ManLifts
? Must possess excellent ability and willingness to take verbal and written directions in English
? Must be able to read blueprints
? Must be able to pass welding inspections for all welds
? Valid drivers license
? Must pass background check for security clearance

The General Maintenance Technician must have a mechanical aptitude and ability to diagnose auto/tire service type work. The General Maintenance Technician is responsible for providing a high level of customer service. Hands on experience with lube, oil, filter, brakes, transmission & alignment is preferred. The General Maintenance Technician must complete additional projects as assigned by Manager.
