Looking for someone that has a style on their own that can create posts and / or reinterpret our blog posts (as well as their own original content) into a video blog, with each video around :30 seconds to 1 minute. The more original and different the better.

2) Sexy Female Indie Echo Park fashionista and personality to also video blog original material and reinterpret our posts. This is a little different but looking for indie sexy smart attractive (tattoo preferred) "in the know" video blogger talking about indie, electro and alt pop music. On this one...Yes, exploring the idea for something that has a sexual (but not age restricted) element and in other words an indie boys dream.

For both positions video blog posts can be and should have strong opinions (you'll either love it or hate it as a viewer), and create a reaction that's worth commenting

Video bloggers can also take opportunities to praise music / albums / tracks or totally diss overly hyped tracks / album releases or other current topical events.

The best way to submit is to actually visit our blog and do a quick video based on the flavor of our site and email it to us (either via file transfer or upload privately on your own YouTube or Vimeo). Feel free to provide other YouTube examples of your work specific to video blogging or examples of your persona, etc.

Not crazy compensation but ability to get some notoriety with us as a fast growing music blog while getting paid for it. (probably $7.50 a post). Keep in mind that these are 30 seconds to 1 minute high quality effective videos at the max. Short and sweet. So on an hourly rate it's pretty amazing as far as your time involved.

Willing to pay more for someone that has an established youtube channel and audience already.

XBOX Indie Game Needs Background/Object Artist

creating a game for release on the XBOX via download (independent
games section). It's a small project being made in a very "garage"
way. However, all of us are skilled and educated in our fields. We are
making this game because we want to go on to do larger game projects
professionally and we've accepted the reality that industry cares more about what you
have done than your education. The game is scheduled to be released
this summer.

Right now the project needs a background artist. More on that below but first
some information about the game.

The Game
The game is a 2D side-scrolling hybrid between different game generes
such as platformer (think Super Mario Bros.), a puzzle game (think
Braid), and a combat game (think Castle Crashers). It has very strong
ties to the fantasy genre but the world in which it takes place is
completely new. While there is a single-player component, the heart
and soul of the game is cooperative play between 2 players who use
characters with different innate abilities to overcome the obstacles
of their journey together.

What We Need
What we need now is a background/object artist. We already have the characters and creature art covered. We need someone who can help create the images that will create the the levels the players play on. This includes the background images that will give the world depth and mood. This person would also be responsible for creating art images for the gameplay objects that the players will use. The environment is very natural so think trees, rocks, logs, etc. This project is a small first part in what will hopefully be a larger series so we aren't talking about a whole lot of levels, but we do need someone who can work fast.

Interested parties should have the following:
- Experience generating 2D digital art assets (for games is a plus).
- Portfolio of previous art samples we can reference
- Healthy interest in this type of project
- Willingness to commit to the completion of the project
- At least 10 hours per week of time available to work on the project
- Ability to work on a week by week task basis with little supervision.
- Ability to use Skype internet chat (microphone, internet connection)
- Physically located near Los Angeles, California is a plus (not required)

Compensation
There is NO upfront pay available (for anyone on the project). The
goal of the project is to gain exposure (and "industry" credit) for
those involved. To maximize exposure it will be distributed with only a small cost to those who play. However, any profit that is made
from players purchasing the game will be split between the primary contributors on the project (which this position is one).

This a great opportunity for anyone who is interested in doing
artwork for video games. The sky is the limit for where this project
might take those involved. The team is passionate and committed. If

Needed VFX/CG for small indie feature (Los Angeles)

We are in need of some VFX/CG work for a super micro budget indie feature.

The genre is ghost/thriller/adventure

Here is everything you need to know about the project:

Very tiny film and our first original production. Will be distributed globally. Shot on 5D/7D. Picture to be locked soon.

The majority of the work is comprised of in-screen compositing, rotoscoping, green screen and some "ghost" effects.

The compositing work would require the most heavy lifting, since it would require some rotoscoping and since no green screen was applied to the computer screens

The green screen work is fairly minimal, but may require some roto work as well because of low light issues

The ghost effects would be fairly simple since they were mostly locked shots, and it's a matter of developing a "look"

There is also one shot that would need an added syringe

We will deliver plates on your format of choice

We do not have a frame or plate count yet. We will do our best to trim the amount of work required on our end and make it easier for the VFX person.

We need an individual or individuals (company is ok if willing to do a super low budget) who have delivered for broadcast before - this is very important.

We would QC internally and any flagged items would need to be fixed

While this is a tiny project and the rate we can afford is very low, we do work on making larger films. In addition, we own a small picture post shop and occasionally have needs for paying VFX jobs, as well as can refer jobs. We plan on growing a small VFX entity here within a year. This could be a mutually beneficial relationship for the right individual(s) or even a company. Albeit small, it is a professional film with imdb credit, would look and sound good on your reel and would definitely add up to many individuals resumes.
