American Martial Arts Academy is looking for a highly responsible teacher for our middle school language arts program. We are seeking candidates who will use innovative curriculum and teaching methodologies to establish a culture of educational excellence.
Teachers will perform a full range of duties, including but not limited to:
-Preparing/implementing lesson plans that lead to student mastery of curriculum contents in language arts, specifically in essay writing.
-Assessing student progress to refine instruction and meet student needs.
-Working closely with children and their families to promote educational growth.
-Working with upper primary grade students during summer program.
Applicants who possess the following skills will make the strongest candidates:
-Passion for working with children and educating.
-Single Subject Credential or equivalent in English.
-Master's in English, literature, comparative literature, or composition; OR
Bachelor's in any of the above AND Master's in education with a specialization in reading or writing.
