Environmental Field Technician - Asbestos & Lead (Orange County)
Duties:
Perform air monitoring/over site for lead/asbestos/mold abatement project
Field sampling for asbestos, lead, mold, and other hazardous materials
Interpret laboratory analysis
Perform Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (Experience is a plus)
Requirements:
Current California DOSH Certifications (CAC/CSST) and California Dept of Public Health (Lead Monitor/Inspector Assessor/Sampling Technician).
Current Certified Mold Inspector Certification (CMI) is a plus
Current Certified Indoor Environmental Consultant (CIEC) is a plus
Willingness to travel out of town and be available for night and weekend work, as needed
Ability to lift 50 lbs. and pass annual physical medical and respirator fit test exams.
Have a valid driver's license, clean DMV driving record, and MUST pass a background check
Ability to climb ladders and stairs and crawl in spaces in order to access a variety of areas.
Other physical requirements include standing, bending, squatting, sitting, kneeling, crawling, and climbing.
Experience with asbestos and lead abatement monitoring and asbestos and lead surveying is preferred.
NIOSH 582 also preferred
Personable and able to communicate with people at all levels
Excellent writing skills are a MUST
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Internet
Must be with an attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
Must be able to perform complex tasks and handle multiple priorities, and have the ability to perform exceptionally under high stress conditions.
