Operational Manager - Successful National Quick Service Restaurant $$ (Southern California)

We are looking for the head honcho. Someone who will single handedly run this restaurant. This person's tasks will include (but not be limited to):

Opening and closing the store (alternating with general manager)
Being a leader that leads by example
Working an average of between 60 and 70 hours per week
Personally prepping food and maintaing quality control
Hiring and firing hourly employees
Maintaing quality control in all aspects of the restaurant
Reporting directly to the owners on a daily basis
Be willing to relocate within the local Southern California area depending on final location of store.

The pay for this position is very competitive with similar opportunities in this field, but the reason you want this job over other companies is it is HIGHLY incentivized. The better and more efficient this restaurant runs, the more money you are able to make.

College degree is preferred but not required. Previous food or restaurant experience is a plus.

Assistant Controller with Operational Experience at Start Up (Santa Monica)

More infoFast growing start-up is looking for a full-time assistant controller. This is an opportunity to get in at an early stage and make a difference. The ideal candidate has significant and broad accounting and book keeping experience and has previously been responsible for a significant portion of the full accounting/reporting process in a small/private company environment. First and foremost, this position is responsible for taking over the daily accounting activities along with monthly/annual closing activities. Things change quickly around here and we need people that can adjust and change ahead of the curve. This position reports to the COO, and, in addition to weekly accounting/bookkeeping activities, will assist with a number of non-accounting administrative activities. Being a start-up, we all wear many hats...here is a good overview of what you would be doing when you start:

Overall
? Operational controller experience and or operational accounting experience
? Advanced Excel skills (capable of forecasting, building projections and models)

Transaction Processing (QuickBooks)
? Review, code, post & file weekly invoices and expense reports
? Process weekly checks for signature
? Initiate ACH transfers for employee expense reimbursements
? Review, code, post & file monthly payroll
? Initiate, code & post monthly and one-time account billings (ACH, Paymentech and invoices)
? Make bank deposits and post cash receipts

Monthly Accounting
? Ensure books maintained on a GAAP basis
? Ensure all steps on the Monthly Accounting Close Checklist are performed accurately & timely
? Prepare & post all recurring journal entries
? Reconcile all asset, liability and equity accounts monthly
? Produce monthly financial statements and review with CEO & COO
? Help define and produce other financial/analytical reports

Annual Accounting & Tax
? Drive annual budget process
? Load annual budget to QuickBooks
? Prepare, file & distribute annual 1099's
? Assist with preparing for annual audit and coordinate with auditors
? Coordinate annual tax return with tax firm

Other
? Assist with other administrative needs of the Company, including human resources, facilities, risk management, etc.
? Assist we developing and writing Company policies & procedures

Requirements
? Bachelors Degree
? Cheerful disposition that thrives on the unexpected in lieu of doing just the same old job every day
? Heavily experienced with QuickBooks
? High energy, service oriented and can-do mentality
? Seeks to learn and acquire additional responsibilities. You don't have to know how to do everything, but you have to want to know how to do everything.
? Detail & Process oriented
