If you are a NATIVE teacher from a SPANISH, FRENCH & MANDARIN speaking country and want to continue your teaching career in the United States we invite you to apply as an ENRICHMENT teacher for Pre-school and elementary students hosting our After-school Program in public schools, private and charter and Catholic schools level K-5 and 6-8 after school in all Los Angeles.

NEEDED 2 SPANISH teachers in the areas of (1) Northridge, (1) Glendale, (2) FRENCH teacher in the Glendale and (2) MANDARIN teacher for the Glendale area for the start of the next school year in SEPTEMBER 2013.

Classes run during the school year and are one hour per week in a different school each weekday. Classes are offered at different schools after school between 2:30-4:30 pm Monday through Friday during the school year and Saturdays from 9:00am-12.

Each CLASS is 1 hour and a half long (one hour of instruction and a half hour of preparation). Each class is entirely in the target language and requires complete mastery of the language and culture of country of origin. 10-15 students per teacher in different ages and therefore a good command of classroom management and differentiated teachings are an added value.

Pay scale for AFTER-SCHOOL (selected teachers would have a contract with the company as "Independent Contractor" (1099)
SPANISH teachers
$18, per CLASS if you DO NOT have qualifications in higher education in the United States.
$21, per CLASS if you have degree (BA or BS) or Masters in Education or related field
$24, per CLASS if you have PhD

FRENCH teachers
$20, per CLASS if you DO NOT have qualifications in higher education in the United States.
$23, per CLASS if you have degree (BA or BS) or Masters in Education or related field
$26, per CLASS if you have PhD

MANDARIN teachers
$22, per CLASS if you DO NOT have qualifications in higher education in the United States.
$25, per CLASS if you have degree (BA or BS) or Masters in Education or related field
$28, per CLASS if you have PhD

All these rates vary if classes are back-to-back or for Private Tutoring.

LTSC CDC carries out a wide range of programs including social services, childcare, economic development, property management and building affordable housing.

About Angelina Preschool:
Angelina Preschool, part of the LTSC Child Development program, is a Head Start/State Preschool serving approximately 60 children in a full-day, year round, center-based program in Echo Park.

Summary of Duties:
The Associate Teacher serves as assistant teacher at Angelina Preschool. The Associate Teacher will report to the Lead Teacher.
? Assists with the supervision of teacher aides and classroom volunteers
? Create and implement lesson plans using High-Scope curriculum
? Communicate positively with parents regarding their children
? Ensure that children are safe at all times
? Conduct DRDP-PS and other assessments of children in preschool program
? Responsible for Head Start paperwork such as parent volunteer logs, observations, etc.
? Participate in staff meetings and trainings

Qualifications and Experience:
Candidates for the position should have the following qualifications:
? A minimum of 12 units of Early Childhood Education and/or Child Development is required.
? A Child Development Associate Teacher Permit issued by the Commission on Teacher Credentialing, OR a current credential issued by the Commission of Teacher Credentialing authorizing teaching service in elementary school; OR, a single subject credential in home economics; OR 12-24 units of Early Childhood Education and/or Child Development; OR two years experience in early childhood education or a child care and development program.
? High School diploma or equivalent.
? Currently working towards Teacher permit and AA or BA degree.
? Past experience working with Head Start programs is preferred.
? Ability to work in a multi-ethnic, fast-paced environment.
? Pediatric/children's CPR/First Aid is preferred.
? Must pass fingerprint clearance, TB test and physical.

Knowledge and Skills:
? Understanding of child growth and development, particularly among preschool age children
? Ability to model and maintain positive relationships with children, parents and co-workers
? General knowledge of nutrition, health and first aid

Physical Requirements:
